Pergola & Privacy Wall
The Goal: Create a functional patio covering that provides meaningful shade while maintaining an open feel.
Key Features: A fully custom-built 18’ x 18’ pergola structure designed to anchor the patio space and define a comfortable outdoor living area.
Design Detail: Both the pergola top and integrated privacy wall were constructed using low-maintenance composite decking. The slat spacing and orientation were strategically engineered to maximize shade during the hottest parts of the year while still allowing airflow and filtered natural light.
The Win: A thoughtfully designed outdoor upgrade that blends form and function—delivering significant shade, added privacy, and long-term durability without ongoing maintenance concerns.
